Three shadowy figures, concealed from view, enter a seedy motel room. They seal their criminal pact with lines of cocaine,

as they sound-proof the room.

Amber, a privileged and pretty college student, leaves campus and is walking to her convertible when two of the shadowy figures jump out of an old van, grabbing her. She struggles as they force her into the van and drive back to the seedy motel.

In the motel room the kidnappers bind and gag Amber, but her fears quickly fade. The kidnappers' inexperience and drug-induced paranoia allow Amber to turn these childhood friends, Jorge, Oscar and Kana, against each other.

As she tries to outwit Jorge and befriend Oscar and Kana, Amber learns their reasons for kidnapping her.

'Suite 101' shows Amber not as the victim, but as a heroine whose power lies in her ability to adapt. While Amber empathizes with the pain and misery of the kidnappers, their petty squabbling over drugs and a few dollars also gives her the opportunity to outsmart them. She recognizes and uses the kidnappers' flaws and past wounds to their detriment.

Unable to run from her captors, Amber realizes she must join them to escape. She enlists them. Her plan: gain the kidnappers' trust by helping them steal from her wealthy father, render them vulnerable through seduction, and leave her once-captors as captives in the motel.
